Position: Certified Medical Technologist II – Core Lab Department, Weekend Only Shift, full time at West Chester Hospital. Sign‑on bonus: $10,000.
Job Description
Participants perform routine and complex laboratory analyses, identify and resolve problems, maintain current knowledge of theory and technique, exercise independent judgment and interpretation.

Qualifications
Associate degree in clinical laboratory science or medical laboratory technology (minimum).
Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science or medical technology (preferred).
Certification: MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or MLT(ASCP) or equivalent.
Laboratory experience (preferred).
Knowledge of specimen requirements, laboratory terminology, and assay schedules.
Ability to perform job duties in a fast‑paced, stressful environment.
Keyboarding skills (preferred).
Expected Salary
$33.21/hr – $41.06/hr (based on experience, skills, and market factors).
Responsibilities
Engage in population‑appropriate communication; deliver clear instructions to patients/families.
Assess patients for growth, development, and physical limitations; involve family/guardian in care.
Respond appropriately to behavioral health issues and cultural or religious needs.
Perform medications, administer treatment, or operate equipment safely.
Recognize signs of abuse or neglect and report as required.
Conduct waived, moderately complex, and highly complex testing per CLIA definitions.
Execute special analyses requiring advanced evaluation and judgment.
Coordinate testing steps for maximum productivity.
Maintain, calibrate, and repair laboratory equipment and reagents.
Document instrument, equipment, and reagent problems and inform relevant personnel.
Keep current with mandatory competencies, departmental policies, continuing education.
Instruct students and new associates.
Perform and record quality control procedures, evaluate results, implement corrective actions.
Analyze data to detect trends and problem areas; implement corrective actions.
Obtain, accession, triage, and process specimens; evaluate sample acceptability.
