Education:

Required – Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.

Preferred – Additional Certifications Or Training (e.g., SafeCare, Trauma-informed Care).

Experience:

Required – 1-2 years of experience providing direct counseling services.

Preferred – Experience working with specific populations (e.g., at-risk youth, survivors of violence).

Licenses/certifications:

LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LPC-A, LMFT-A, or LMSW

Job Summary: The Clinician is responsible for providing quality counseling services to clients, ensuring compliance with standards, and contributing to program goals.

Essential Functions :

Counseling: Assess client needs and develop treatment plans. Provide individual and group counseling sessions using various therapeutic approaches. Monitor client progress and update treatment plans. Program Contributions: Facilitate training and workshops. Participate in outreach and community events. Contribute to grant reports and data analysis. Case Management: Manage assigned projects and staff. Complete documentation and data entry. Report suspected abuse or neglect. Professional Development: Attend staff meetings, trainings, and consultations. Maintain current licenses and certifications.

Measurable Deliverables:

Meet federal and state regulatory guidelines. Provide counseling hours and services to clients. Complete client assessments and develop treatment plans. Maintain accurate documentation and data entry. Participate in outreach and community events. Submit reports and attend required meetings. Demonstrate the ability to: Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English. Work in a fast-paced environment. Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position. Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Travel as needed. Other job duties as assigned per grant requirements.

Requirements:

Maintain certificates required for the position including but not limited to First Aid and CPR. Valid Texas Driver’s license with a clear driving record and reliable transportation. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens. Provide proof or work eligibility status upon request. Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background and motor vehicle check (fingerprints needed if applicant has lived out of state within the past 5 years).
