Under general supervision, responsible for operating MRI scanner(s) for diagnostic imaging purposes, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of pathology. Work Hours:
Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday). The total hours needed will be 18 hours. Weekday coverage will vary based on clinic needs. This position is Shift Differential Eligible. Job Duties:
Operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. Transfers, positions, and instructs patients regarding the procedure. Selects appropriate imaging techniques; operates console and peripheral hardware; enters and monitors patient data. Transfers images from disk to magnetic media to produce transparency. Develops film in automatic processor and inspects for quality and completeness. Performs quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment and matrix camera. Performs all other duties as assigned. Education:
Associate's degree and graduation from an approved AMA school of Radiologic Technology are required. Experience:
One (1) year of related experience is required. Additional Licenses and Certifications:
Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required. Additional Information:
