The Senior Slot Technician creates, supervises, and designs related training programs to assist in the development of subordinate Technicians. Additional duties include the maintenance and repair of select equipment for the Finance and Table Games operations. Ensures all new products are configured and functioning properly; makes recommendations to the Slot Technical Shift Manager to improve any areas of concern; repairs any machine problems beyond the scope of subordinate Technicians; sets an example for other Technicians to follow; delivers exceptional internal/external customer service.
This position requires performing the job duties throughout the SGC properties as needed. Traveling between or reporting to the other properties is a requirement of this position. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s and the Departments policies and procedures. This is also to include following all Internal Control Standards and objectives.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive electronic circuit board repairs. Perform all aspects of monitor repair. Assist in the coordination, and performs any machine moves, modifications, and conversions. Responsible for the initial set-up of all new slot machines and peripheral equipment. Maintain the integrity of the slot machine equipment and secure all company assets and property at all times. Superior soldering skills Coordinate the installation and maintenance of all progressive equipment. Assist the Slot Technical Shift Manager in the coordination and implementation of all gaming inspections. Utilize all resources available to address any technical issues beyond the scope of position. Ability to construct any needed test equipment that may be necessary. Assist in the development of subordinate level Technicians, and in the development of new methods & techniques for training manuals. Perform any duty within the scope of Slot Technicians responsibilities. Assist in maintaining parts inventory under the direction of the Slot Technical Shift Manager. Responsible for the security of keys and all issued tools and equipment needed to perform the function of the position. Assist the Finance department by maintaining and repairing currency and currency related equipment. Notify the Cage Shift Managers/Cage Manager of all maintenance and repairs performed on equipment. Track and record all finance equipment repairs/maintenance on equipment tracking log sheet. Must have a thorough understanding and be able to install, repair and maintain casino Player Tracking System equipment. Provide report to the Cage Shift Managers/Cage Manager of any parts or supplies needed to maintain and/or repair finance equipment. Assist the Table Games Department by maintaining and repairing any Table Games’ electronic equipment as requested. Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies. Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment. Attend all necessary meetings. Education/Experience
Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment. High School diploma or equivalent GED required. Associates Degree or Certification in electronics from an accredited school. Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Slot Technician in a licensed jurisdiction. Candidate must complete the internal testing and evaluation process of the approved SGC Slot Technical training program. Exhibit superior communication skills and the ability to learn on their own. Working knowledge of computer software applications and practical usage. Language Skills And Reasoning Ability
Must possess excellent communication skills. Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers. Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees. Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to stand, walk and move through all areas of the casino. Must be able to reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; use hands to touch, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Must be capable of using various electronic test equipment and power tools. The employee must frequently lift and/or move a minimum of fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees and members of the business community in all situations. Must be able to work all shifts including weekends, holidays and overtime as required. Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
