Greenberg-Larraby, Inc. (GLI) is seeking several dedicated Medical Laboratory Scientists to join our growing dynamic laboratory team at a well known hospital facility in Augusta, Maine. In this essential role, you will perform laboratory tests and analyses to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. You will conduct a variety of laboratory tests, ensure the accuracy and reliability of results, and maintain laboratory equipment. You will support clinical staff by providing timely and accurate laboratory data. This position requires an active MT (ASCP) certification or equivalent, and candidates must have a valid state license. This is a full-time position with typical shifts during standard working hours. Key Responsibilities
Perform complex laboratory tests on biological specimens, including blood and other fluids Ensure the accuracy and validity of test results, adhering to quality control protocols Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments Document all laboratory procedures and results in accordance with regulatory requirements Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss test results and relevant findings Minimum Requirements
Bachelor\'s degree in medical laboratory science or a related field Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) by ASCP or equivalent United States licensure BLS or equivalent 3+ years of experience is ideal Proficient knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, and equipment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities U.S. Citizenship required Benefits
