Position Purpose

Key Responsibilities
[List of material responsibilities and essentials duties which must be completed in achieving the objectives of the position]
Works under the direction of the provider and the Arizona State Nurse Practice Act to provide professional nursing care for clinic patients in compliance with nursing standards and regulations. Triage patients by phone or in person, receiving and implementing telephone physician orders, maintaining clinical communication in dynamic environment. Assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care for both clinic and procedures. Performs CLIA waived lab tests and obtains specimens Performs proficiency testing and runs controls for waived tests May perform venipuncture
Qualifications

Ability to communicate effectively with others Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks Ability to maintain attention to detail Knowledge of and ability to use computer hardware and software applications Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocol Knowledge of and ability to implement direct care, newborn through geriatric Knowledge of and ability to use basic medical terminology
Education
Graduate of a practical or vocational nursing program High school graduate or equivalent.
Certification/Licensure
Current, valid Arizona LPN license or compact state LPN/LVN license BLS through the American Heart Association.
