Overview
Sign-on incentive:
Candidates are eligible for a sign on incentive of up to $12,500 based on experience. 2JPW is a 19-bed adult unit that provides care for patients with general psychiatric conditions, with an emphasis on thought disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar, and other psychotic disorders. 2JPW also provides specialized services for adult patients with an intellectual disability and co-occurring mental illness (IDMI) who display challenging behaviors. The interdisciplinary treatment team includes physicians, psychologists, advanced practice providers, master-level therapists, nurses, social workers, dietitians, occupational and recreational therapists, behavioral health consultants, and a cadre of specialists who collaborate with the treatment team to support the IDMI population. 60% Schedule:
Weekend Option Nights, Friday and Saturday 1900-0730. SEIU Pay Plan:

Shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Premium pay for additional shifts greater than 4 hours. Inpatient differential of up to $10,000 per year based on percent time. Benefits Highlights:

Experience Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members as demonstrated through written and verbal interactions General computer skills are required Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by date of hire Desirable Qualifications: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Masters Degree in Nursing is highly desired If Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is not yet obtained, active enrollment in a BSN program is desirable Knowledge of university and hospital policies and procedures is desired Please attach a resume as part of the application process.
