Job Summary The Advanced Psychoeducation Specialist provides direct patient care under the guidance of a designated healthcare professional in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, and within policies, procedures, and guidelines of Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH). Provide clinical and administrative supervision. Essential Functions
Facilitates Psychoeducation groups and provides individual activities tailored to specific needs of patients. May participate in family meetings and treatment team meetings. Offers community resource knowledge and coordination of activities. Completes assessments, care planning and discharge planning in collaboration with the Social Worker team. Provide one-on-one (1:1) patient safety companion service and patient checks as needed. Participates in continued education and in-service training. Education
Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, Recreational Therapy, or Expressive Therapy (Music, Dance/Movement), Counseling, or Human Services (required) Licensing & Certifications
Must be licensed, certified, or registered as appropriate by state and national licensing boards in one of the following (required) Care Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (CTRS) Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) Therapy Credentialed Supervisor (ATCS) Music Therapist-Board Certified (MT-BC) Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT) Occupational Therapist Licensed (OTR/L) Experience
1 year of experience in healthcare, social services or human services setting (required) Skills & Abilities
De-escalation and Crisis Intervention Debriefing and documentation Motivational interviewing Patient centered care and care planning Performing medical and safety screenings Working within an interdisciplinary team Individual, family, and group psychotherapy Mentoring and training of employees Participation in enterprise-wide workgroups Mercy Health offers a range of benefits, including:
