Days Mon-Fri 7:30am to 5:00pm; Fr idays may be at either office; rotating coverage includes Brevard, NC and Hendersonville locations. The Role You'll Contribute
The Medical Assistant, under general supervision, provides appropriate care to patients and follows AdventHealth service standards. This includes greeting patients, obtaining clinical information, financial and demographic information. Responsible for assisting providers during treatment and examination and may assist with procedures and medication administration as ordered by the provider. Performs office duties as needed, which includes verifying insurance, collecting copays and scheduling necessary appointments. The Value You'll Bring To The Team
Assist with screenings per physician orders and enter all information accurately at the time of service or results Performs clinical intake according to AHMG policy and procedures May be responsible for assisting with minor procedures associated with specialty May be required to travel as needed to fulfill staffing needs Safety/Whole care Must maintain education requirements for position and demonstrate competency, as required Minimum Qualifications
1 year of practical medical assisting experience AND one of the medical assistant certifications listed below OR graduate of a medical assisting program Must be currently certified and maintain certification by one of the following: AAMA CMA; AMCA CMAC; AMT RMA; NAHP NRCMA; NCCT NCMA; NHA CCMA; ARMA; Active American Heart Association BLS Preferred Qualifications
