Position Summary Working under a grant from the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), the Post‑Release Services (PRS) Case Manager Level 2 delivers Level 2 PRS, including conducting initial in‑home assessments, ongoing monthly assessments, planning, and connecting children to community services. Services are provided in‑person or virtually based on the child’s well‑being. The role requires knowledge of local community social services and experience working with immigrant populations.
Responsibilities
Provide Level Two (2) post‑release services
Conduct initial in‑home assessments and monthly engagements
Perform one in‑person home visit every 90 days
Conduct ongoing assessments
Connect children to community services
Maintain a minimum caseload of 15
Establish working relationships with community‑based organizations
Apply a case management approach that assesses, plans, facilitates, and advocates for unaccompanied children and their sponsors using knowledge of social services and human services
Follow all ORR guidelines and policy requirements
Report to PRS Caseworker Supervisor
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
At least 21 years old
Bachelor’s degree in social work (BSW) or an equivalent degree in education, psychology, sociology, or another behavioral science
Experience working with immigrant populations
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Prior experience with ORR HS/PRS preferred
Proficient in using ORR’s Official System of Record (UC Portal)
Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries, and C/ANs check
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time with an active motor vehicle license, reliable automobile, good driving record, and 100/300 insurance coverage on a personally owned vehicle
Willingness to work flexible and non‑traditional hours in service of persons served
Residence within a 100‑mile radius of the city they will be focused on supporting
Ability to work respectfully and sensitively with persons from various cultures, socioeconomic, ethnic, gender, gender identity, sexual identity, disability, religious, and racial backgrounds
