Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (LPN/LVN) play a vital role in providing direct patient care, monitoring staff performance, and supporting resident care planning across assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care settings.

Responsibilities

Assist routine daily direction and monitor nursing assistants, ensuring a high standard of care.

Assist in orientation of new LPN/LVN and nursing assistants; reinforce training standards.

Provide explanations of nursing procedures and assist staff to ensure ongoing understanding.

Communicate regularly with the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing regarding observations, problem areas, resident and employee activities, concerns, and needs.

Observe and evaluate residents’ health, mental and emotional conditions and communicate significant changes to appropriate staff, notifying physicians and families as required.

Provide direct patient care including procedures such as catheter placement, colostomy care, suction, dressings, nasogastric tubes, and other treatments.

Participate in shift reports to ensure proper communication of resident information.

Assist in admission, orientation, and observation of new residents; ensure physician orders for diets, therapy, medication, etc., are transcribed and communicated.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

Graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.

Current, good standing LPN/LVN license in the State.

Minimum one year nursing experience.

Commitment to professional nursing standards and principles.

Compensation Hourly rate: $32.36 – $40.79 per hour.
