Pay Range Base pay: $22.85/hr – $34.85/hr.

We prioritize a comprehensive, holistic approach to wellness that encompasses all areas of care, including advanced Physical Therapy services. As a Physical Therapy Assistant supporting the East 1 team, you will provide comfort and care to patients living in & around Mentor, Willoughby Hills, Willoughby, East Cleveland, Lyndhurst, Highland Heights, South Euclid, Mayfield, and occasionally Painesville.
Responsibilities A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Administer patient‑centered Physical Therapy treatment incorporating evidence‑based practice and skilled techniques to achieve optimal functional outcomes under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Observe, communicate and document patient progress and response to treatment.
Plan, organize and implement individualized therapeutic programs with patients/families, incorporating evidence‑based practice.
Provide education on Physical Therapy related subjects to patients, clients, caregivers, hospital personnel and the community.
Act as a clinical instructor or participate in the education and evaluation of students.
Act as a resource for volunteers and observers.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s Degree or certificate.
Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
BLS Certification through the AHA or American Red Cross.
Valid Driver’s License (VDL) with proof of $100,000/$300,000 coverage insurance for Homecare.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a clinical area.
Physical Requirements
Ability to walk and climb stairs without assistive device and maintain balance despite sudden load.
Ability to meet heavy‑level physical demands (1993 standards).
Ability to lift and reach arms to lift patient’s arm and leg during therapeutic treatment.
Manual dexterity to palpate muscle tension or monitor patient pulse.
Visual acuity to observe patient’s gross and fine motor movements and read patient monitors.
Ability to speak and hear clearly at conversational level.
Personal Protective Equipment
Follow standard precautions using PPE as required.
