This is a 6‑month fixed‑term position, benefits‑eligible, with the possibility of extension or becoming permanent. Responsibilities
Set up the treatment/clinical area for patients. Obtain dental history and records from patients. Prepare materials for making impressions and restorations. Maintain inventory of dental instruments, equipment, and supplies in the operatory. Assist with patient registration and provide patient education and treatment planning. Work independently with moderate technical guidance. Be a chair‑side assistant for all procedures, including sedations and assisting residents during comprehensive dental treatment. Translate between English and Spanish. Take digital X‑rays and panoramic radiographs and assist with all clinic duties. Sterilize instruments. Qualifications
Minimum education: specialized/technical training and graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant program. Minimum experience: 6–12 months chair‑side experience in a dental environment or private practice, preferably in one or more recognized disciplines such as general, prosthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery, pediatrics, orthodontics, or special patients. Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance, PPO, and dental terminology. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal patient‑service skills and ability to multi‑task. Working knowledge of proper sterilization and instrument management techniques. Experience in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment. Team‑oriented and collaborative work style. Ability to travel to and from work at various local locations. Bilingual English / Spanish
