Overview

Research Technician in Cell and Molecular Biology role at Katalyst CRO. The position focuses on projects involving human-induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC) reprogramming, cell differentiation, CRISPR editing, high-throughput functional screening, and various molecular biology experiments in the wet lab. The successful candidate will perform time-sensitive experiments and support extended hiPSC differentiation protocols, with daily attention to detail. Responsibilities

Conduct routine experimental protocols and procedures in the wet lab. Maintain tissue culture, including stem cells and stem cell-derived cells. Accurately record experimental setups, SOP protocols, and data quality control. Maintain efficient and continuous communication with the manager and team members. Support team members with routine cell culture procedures, including media preparation and reagent aliquoting. Conduct molecular and cell biology experiments such as qRT-PCR, immunofluorescence, and Western blot analyses. Qualifications

A bachelors or masters degree in biochemistry or molecular cell biology, with at least three years of independent hands-on laboratory experience. Trained and experienced in using aseptic techniques in a laminar flow biosafety cabinet. Significant cell culture expertise, including maintenance, freezing, thawing, and passaging. Proficiency in biochemical assays such as Western blot or WES, immunofluorescence, and flow cytometry. Skilled in molecular biology techniques such as RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, and RT-qPCR. Knowledge of serial dilution and calculation of solution concentration. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Organized in planning long experimental protocols that may sometimes require working on weekends. Nice to have: Experience with culturing human iPSC and differentiating iPSC into brain cell types.
