Job Summary
The Case Manager manages the regulatory process for assigned cases and identifies compliance requirements arising from regulatory directives. The Case Manager will develop case materials, including performing policy and quantitative analysis to support PG&E’s desired outcomes. The Case Manager may act as an expert witness. The Case Manager will act as a Project Manager: forming the case team, developing the schedule, milestones and deliverables, managing issues, and leading development of key case materials. The Case Manager will develop, review, and analyze testimony including policy and quantitative analysis, discovery, and other case materials. The Case Manager will track, monitor, and implement compliance with regulatory directives. The Case Manager will develop, recommend, and review case strategy, cost recovery, tariff changes, and other proposals in regulatory proceedings. The Case Manager communicates case status or information, strategy, or key issues to PG&E management, CPUC staff, and external stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities
Develop and execute regulatory strategy for multiple major cross-functional proceedings of moderate to high complexity to align with PG&E’s goals and objectives.
Manage multiple regulatory proceedings with demanding time constraints; manage and direct cross-functional teams.
Serve as expert witness, including preparation of testimony, discovery, and work papers.
Assist subject matter experts with development of testimony, work papers, and discovery responses, settlement documents and communication materials.
Evaluate and develop recommendations on cost recovery, ratemaking, customer programs and tariffs.
Review and summarize proposed decisions and other regulatory filings, provide insight into implications, and recommend changes to case strategy resulting from regulatory filings; identify, document, and assign compliance requirements.
Communicate case strategy and policy issues to PG&E leadership and external stakeholders; proactively contact external stakeholders to gather information to support the case.
Conduct analysis to ensure requests in case are adequately supported by workpapers and testimony; research regulatory proposals and decisions to identify issues regarding future proposed regulatory requests.
Represent PG&E in communicating the company’s position and/or perspective regarding gas/electric regulatory issues.
Provide analytical support for regulatory, policy, and business initiatives within PG&E.
Qualifications Minimum
Bachelor’s degree
7 years of relevant experience
Desired
Knowledge and understanding of PG&E and utility industry’s (gas/electric) operations, pricing, accounting, and customer service issues
Knowledge and understanding of revenue requirements, cost recovery, policy development
Knowledge and understanding of case management processes, procedures, and practices
Ability to review and evaluate complex analysis and recommendations
