Carle Health is seeking a
BE/BC Pediatric Surgeon (PRN)
to join our expanding Pediatric Surgery Department at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. Responsibilities
Join an established, full-spectrum program with an additional BC Pediatric Surgeon, dedicated Pediatric Surgery NP and full Pediatric Anesthesiology coverage. Provide surgical services with a large built-in referral base and growing primary care and pediatric subspecialty physician base. Block surgical time with a clinic located adjacent to the hospital. Deliver care across inpatient and outpatient settings with access to Pediatric Critical Care Center. Utilize comprehensive support services to optimize surgical care across the continuum, including the daVinci XI system for robotic cases. Handle a wide variety of cases (note: excludes transplants, burns, oncology, trauma and pediatric hearts). Collaborate with on-site inpatient specialty support including Neonatologists, Pediatric Intensivists and Pediatric Hospitalists; engage with outpatient specialties such as Maternal Fetal Medicine, Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, Cardiology, Radiology, Psychology, Urology, Gastroenterology, Hematology, Neurology, Pulmonology, Sleep, Genetics, Nutrition, Orthopedics, Rheumatology and Endocrinology. Opportunity to teach General Surgery residents at Carle Foundation Hospital’s ACGME-accredited residency program. Participate in teaching and research opportunities at the Carle Illinois College of Medicine. Qualifications
