Overview
We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to join our CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited laboratory. This role is central to RDI's mission to accelerate diagnostic innovation by ensuring that every test, sample, and report meets the highest standards of accuracy and compliance. You will oversee testing operations, maintain regulatory compliance, and collaborate with scientists, study teams, and leadership to deliver reliable clinical data for diagnostics development.

A strong understanding of laboratory compliance, quality systems, and assay validation
High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

What You'll Do
Perform and oversee testing, validation, and verification of assays, instruments, and methodologies
Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, FDA, and RDI laboratory policies and procedures
Maintain quality assurance and quality control standards, including documentation and reporting
Monitor and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment; ensure calibration and preventative maintenance
Develop, implement, and manage the laboratory's proficiency testing program
Train and assess competency of laboratory personnel
Maintain accurate, organized, and timely laboratory records and data systems
Collaborate with internal study teams and clients on testing methods, timelines, and data interpretation
Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvement to enhance lab efficiency and accuracy
Requirements Current and valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) License required.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or a related field
2+ years of experience in a clinical or research laboratory environment
Knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and FDA regulatory requirements
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
