Position Announcement Utah Valley University is seeking a qualified adjunct instructor to join our dynamic Nursing program beginning the Fall semester. The successful candidate must hold a master’s degree in nursing or a closely related field and possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and clinical education. This position provides hands‑on instruction and mentorship to nursing students in clinical or lab settings. Prior teaching or clinical experience is preferred. Summary of Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and follow an approved course of study with measurable objectives for each course/clinical taught.
Prepare instructional materials; instruct, manage, and supervise individuals and groups in classrooms, labs, and clinical (hospital) areas.
Evaluate instruction and learning; maintain and submit accurate student records.
Advise students as needed.
Assist department staff in maintaining an effective program.
Maintain desirable and safe lab and classroom conditions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications Graduation from an accredited program with a master’s degree in nursing or a closely related field.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Knowledge of each course/clinical to be taught.
Knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques.
Knowledge of counseling and advising techniques.
Knowledge of current trends in nursing education.
Skill in public speaking and report writing.
Skill in student management, motivation and evaluation, and recruitment. Interpersonal, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Ability to communicate well orally and in writing.
