Perform radiographic examinations on selected portions of the anatomy under the broad direction of the Radiologist, Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor, and the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging. Perform a variety of procedures with the knowledge and ability to properly and safely obtain diagnostic images as requested by the clinician on patients in the following age groups: adolescence (12-18), adults (19-64), and aging adults (66 and over). Demonstrate knowledge of radiology principles and imaging techniques as they apply to the daily operation of the department. Maintain awareness of radiation safety policies related to the operation of equipment and protection of the patient. Understand the process of computed radiography, the quality assurance station, image processing, archiving, and sending images to the PACS stations. Take the initiative to identify and solve problems. Gather complete documentation of all pertinent information to provide accurate and timely service to patients and ensure completion of all forms. Must be able to work weekends, varied hours, scheduled and on-call hours, as appropriate. Credentials And Qualifications
High School Diploma Florida license as a Radiographer (CRT) Required ARRT (RT) certification required Current BLS required Competency in all aspects of radiology, patient positioning, exposure factors and radiation protection Understanding of anatomy and pathology as to how they affect the quality of a procedure Must be able to work weekends, varied hours, scheduled and on-call hours Seniority level
