Summary of Essential Functions Under the direction of the Director of Engineering, this position will develop engineering designs for oil field equipment and related technologies to meet customer requirements. The role requires engineering judgment and standard techniques, with a preference for familiarity with Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), Materials Science, and Electric Submersible Pumps (ESP), including CFD related to these units.
Responsibilities
Develop designs for oilfield equipment, selecting appropriate materials and performing engineering calculations.
Assist in transitioning products from development to production, focusing on bills of materials.
Analyze and modify assembly and component designs, preparing drawings and specifications.
Design prototypes for testing and evaluate equipment performance.
Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve field issues and provide technical guidance.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and export control policies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
5-15 years of experience in design engineering, preferably with ESPs and CFD knowledge.
Proficiency with SolidWorks, PDM, and a keen interest in Materials Science.
Willingness to travel up to 30%.
Ability to sit for long periods, maneuver in various environments, and lift up to 20 pounds.
Excellent communication skills in English.
Work Environment Primarily based at ELS locations during regular or extended hours, with potential for meetings at various venues.
