Structural Bridge Engineer – Project Manager LJB Inc. is a national engineering firm that has been delivering innovative civil and structural solutions since 1966. Annual Compensation:

$95,000 – 185,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

Bridge Engineering Project Manager Essential Functions

Responsible for management, scope, fees, and the profitability of individual projects and project portfolio.

Act as the firm’s primary client contact while serving as project manager.

Assist in new sales with clients for whom projects are managed.

Guide and coordinate internal transportation disciplines with sub‑consultants and clients.

Manage multidisciplinary teams.

Appreciate all transportation disciplines and requirements as related to bridge design projects.

Assist the Deputy Operations Manager in maintaining PM best practices.

On larger projects, may or may not be directly involved in the design.

Report employee performance on projects to Operations Management.

Provide information to Deputy Operations Manager on future projects for staffing purposes.

Assist in the informal development of other employees.

Other duties as assigned.

Essential Credentials

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field (MS preferred).

PE license required.

PMP certification is a plus.

Qualifications

At least 10 years of experience in consulting or engineering.

Experience working with DOTs required.

Project team leadership experience.

Project and client management experience.

Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills.

Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.

Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil‑3D is preferred.
