About the Role We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Leadman Mechanic who will be an essential part of our mission to provide safe and reliable maritime services. You\'ll work alongside a dedicated team that values professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What You\'ll Do Supervision
Assign tasks to maintenance and marine personnel.
Lead logistics and planning for maintenance projects.
Ensure proper handling, storage, transportation, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
Vessel Maintenance and Repair
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on vessels and equipment.
Assist in diagnostic evaluations of mechanical systems.
Shoreside Equipment Maintenance
Maintain yard and shop equipment in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Promote and uphold safe workplace practices, including identifying and correcting deficiencies.
Complete special duties and projects assigned.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
What We\'re Looking For
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Associate\'s degree or equivalent post-secondary education preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in marine maintenance or a related field.
Strong understanding of marine and industrial diesel engine operations.
Proficient in repairing and operating machinery such as engines, winches, motors, and transmissions.
Basic diagnostic and repair skills for marine subsystems (pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, fuel systems).
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to interpret technical manuals, drawings, charts, and blueprints.
Basic computer proficiency.
Compensation Pay for this position is between $40-45 per hour. This position is hourly and eligible for overtime.
