A respected construction firm is seeking an experienced

Construction Superintendent

to oversee field operations for

multifamily and commercial projects

in the San Antonio area. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing ground-up and/or renovation projects, maintaining strong safety practices, and ensuring work is completed on schedule and to quality standards.

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives on job site management, clear communication, and building strong relationships with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.

Responsibilities

Supervise all on-site construction activities for multifamily and commercial projects from start to finish.

Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to maintain workflow and project efficiency.

Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and company procedures (OSHA compliance required).

Review drawings, plans, and specifications to verify accuracy and adherence to project scope.

Conduct daily site meetings and provide progress reports to Project Managers and leadership.

Monitor project schedules, budgets, and materials to prevent delays or overruns.

Inspect work regularly for quality assurance and adherence to plans.

Identify and resolve field issues or conflicts quickly and effectively.

Maintain accurate daily reports, field logs, and project documentation.

Oversee project closeout, including punch lists, inspections, and client handoffs.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience

as a Superintendent or Lead Foreman in

multifamily or commercial construction.

Strong knowledge of building processes, scheduling, and job site safety.

Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and field teams.

Proficiency with

Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar project management tools

preferred.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.

OSHA 30 certification required or ability to obtain within 60 days.

Bachelor’s degree in

Construction Management, Civil Engineering , or equivalent field experience preferred.

Pay Range $100,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr
