Water Resource Engineer Intern

What you will do
Perform hydraulic and hydrologic engineering design services.
Runoff calculations
Open-channel hydraulics
Bridge hydraulics
Culvert design
Detention facility design
Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic models.
Analyze drainage and flooding problems and consider alternatives to mitigate those problems.
Prepare construction cost estimates for mitigation actions.
Prepare detailed reports summarizing analyses and results.
Travel to project sites and perform field work to obtain data for projects.
Attend client and public meetings related to projects.
What you will bring
A basic knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic engineering.
A desire to continue developing skills and knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic engineering.
A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Biosystems, or Environmental Engineering.
Certified as an Engineer in Training (EIT) having passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to work at a variety of locations.
The ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains associated with site visits and other project related activities.
Out of town work for short periods of time may be required.
Excellent organizational and communications skills.
Preferred Candidate
Experience in HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS modeling software.
Experience in GIS software, ArcPRO.
