Our Team Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD) is an engineering/construction company headquartered in Katy, TX, specializing in natural gas, natural gas liquids, and petrochemical industries. What You Will Do
Strong knowledge of carpentry, tools, procedures, and best practices.
Lead crews and conduct morning production meetings.
Assign job tasks to each crew member and ensure proper training.
Coordinate work according to priorities and plans.
Be a safety role model and enforce OPD and client safety policies.
Anticipate and recognize potential safety and environmental concerns.
Communicate and coordinate with OPD Superintendent, Logistics Manager, and Construction Manager regarding material requirements, concrete pours, and rebar delivery.
Verify forms and concrete are set within client specifications.
Plan excavation, trenching, soil treatment, and safety considerations for all civil work.
Use a computer to write daily reports, employee discipline documents, JSAs, and e‑mail.

Physical Demands
Work outdoors in extreme heat, humidity, cold, and high elevations.
Lifting and carrying awkward objects up to 60 lbs.
Standing up to 11 hours per day, with breaks every 2.5 hours.
Perform regular walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
At least 2 years experience as a civil foreman.
Ability to read and understand civil, structural, and pipe drawings.
Experience using a sight level and transit for coordinates and elevations.
Previous experience in a gas plant construction environment.
Experience leading teams of 10–30 people.
Commitment to advancing safety culture.
Effective communication across civil, pipe, and structural crafts.
What Will Put You Ahead
Three or more years as a foreman.
Competence with excavation, trenching, soil jobs, and safety considerations.
Consistent progression into field leadership.
Experience in multiple crafts: pipe, civil, structural.
