A&P Mechanic, 2nd Shift

This experienced
A&P Mechanic
will be responsible for performing routine and heavy maintenance, as well as major inspections, on mid-sized corporate aircraft.
What You'll Do:
Inspect aircraft per OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance Manuals.
Remove and install wheels, brakes, flight controls and riggings
Evaluate removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies.
Troubleshoot and repair airframe systems including hydraulics, landing gear, and more.
Interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical documents.
Analyze mechanical problems to determine the best repair methods.
Test, repair, and adjust engines, engine controls, and flight controls.
Check and repair fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, cooling, and pressurization systems.
Utilize hand tools and precision measuring instruments effectively.
Remove and reinstall engines from turbofan aircraft.
Conduct operational checks and engine runs to ensure airworthiness prior to departure.
Make informed decisions on maintenance techniques and troubleshooting.
Availability and flexibility to work overtime and weekends to support business needs.
Position Requirements:
Valid FAA-approved Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
Must be able to work 2nd shift , with overtime, holidays and weekends as required by the business needs
(Current schedule is Tuesday - Friday, 1:30pm - 12:00am CST)
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Must have a Highschool Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred Characteristics:
Minimum of 3 years working in Business / Corporate Aviation.
Previous experience working on Embraer, Falcon, Lear, Citation, Challenger, Gulfstream, Global and/or Hawker aircraft
Experience working in a Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul (MRO) environment.
Experience/Training with Honeywell, Bombardier, Dassault, and/or Embraer products
Aviation training or certifications, including military training, aeronautical academy, technical school, or an Aviation Associates Degree.
