The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) invites applications for a non-tenure track lecturer position in electrical and computer engineering. The position is a three-year appointment, renewable based on favorable annual evaluations. The role is mainly based at the Brownsville campus but requires travel between the Edinburg and Brownsville campuses as needed by the department. Candidates with significant industrial experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Department Background

The ECE Department has twenty-three faculty members and offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering, as well as a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering. The department serves more than 900 students, including over 800 undergraduates, and aims to develop graduate programs and expand faculty lines. About UTRGV

Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field from an accredited university. Discipline Specific Required Qualifications

All candidates are expected to have a solid commitment to teaching, potentially advising students and supervising teaching laboratories. Candidates who have demonstrated full-time teaching excellence in an electrical and computer engineering program will be given particular consideration. Preferred teaching areas include Tele/Digital Communication, Electric Power/Energy, Microprocessor/Microcontroller and VLSI, electronics, electric circuits, digital systems, assembly language, C++/Python, and ECE labs. Candidates with expertise in any ECE subfield are also considered. Preferred Qualification

Doctoral degree preferred. Industry or teaching experience is also preferred. Salary
