We are seeking an
Electrical & Instrumentation Designer
to join our dynamic team supporting full EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects in the power sector. This includes work on gas turbines, renewables, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, and transmission systems. You will play a key role in developing electrical & instrumentation design deliverables and construction packages, ensuring quality, accuracy, and interdisciplinary coordination. Responsibilities
Produce installation details, MCC single lines, electric room layouts, motor elementary diagrams, connection diagrams, cable schedules, control panel layouts, grounding, lighting, power, and instrumentation plans Interpret project scope, specifications, and design criteria Perform calculations for lighting levels, voltage drop, conduit/tray fill, wire/conduit sizing, and overcurrent protection Route conduit and cable tray systems Determine motor control center and substation loading Create accurate electrical installation documents from vendor equipment drawings Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure coordinated design efforts Provide on-site assistance during startup and construction phases Support cost estimation and material take-offs Estimate task durations and meet project deadlines Qualifications
Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation drafting and design EPC and power sector experience preferred Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D required, 3D desirable), Revit, Navisworks and Microsoft Office Suite Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation materials and construction practices Knowledge of company and industry drafting standards Effective communication and presentation skills Ability to work independently and within virtual teams across offices Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods Willingness to travel occasionally for field verification and support Seniority level
