About The Role Key Responsibilities:
To ensure the safe, satisfactory performance and further development of all contracts and accounts.
Take an active role in the management of all quality, environmental and health & safety issues on the site, in compliance with company policies, and arrange compliance with contractual requirements.
Ensure the Planned Preventative and Reactive maintenance are carried out to the correct specification with regards to both frequency and quality.
Organise and manage the mechanical maintenance schedule in compliance with current legislation and as detailed in the CAFM system.
Organise and manage external maintenance contractors to ensure mechanical, electrical, and building fabric maintenance schedules are carried out in accordance with current legislation and as detailed in the CAFM system.
Ensure client satisfaction and the quality of service provided.
Identify and implement innovations to improve service delivery.
Ensure continuity of systems, which fully complies with all legal, qualitative, health, safety and environmental standards and other relevant guidance.
Ensure that tools, equipment, and materials are available as and when required to ensure the effective delivery of the service.
Assist with Sub‑Contractor management and monitoring.
Essential Hiring Criteria
A recognised qualification in Hot Water Systems including Unvented Hot Water Systems.
A recognised qualification in Plumbing.
Awareness of Water Hygiene Management including Legionella prevention.
Proven experience in an FM or building services maintenance position.
Skills & Knowledge
Understanding of asset management principles and maintenance techniques.
Experience of operating a management system i.e. ISO 9001:2000, 14001, 18001.
A strong working knowledge of Health & Safety principles including Risk Assessment, COSHH etc.
A pro‑active attitude.
Excellent planning skills.
Good IT/computer skills.
Excellent communication skills including verbal and the written word.
The ability to form relationships with clients and to exceed customer expectation.
Approachable demeanour and a demonstrable commitment to team working.
Consistently works to a high standard and looks for ways to improve current working practices and processes to meet the needs of the business.
High levels of self‑motivation, technical inquisitiveness, enthusiasm and commitment.
A willingness to undertake other tasks outside of your primary skillset, including basic fabric tasks and basic plumbing tasks.
A track record of delivering similar roles.
Experience of working in a hospital environment and knowledge of HTM's would be beneficial.
A solid understanding of SFG20 and experience within a hard FM position would be advantageous.
A commitment to continuing professional development in relation to themself.
A formal H&S qualification i.e., IOSH managing safety certificate or similar would be useful.
Level 2 in a secondary trade or other trade associated training would be advantageous.
