We are a fast‑growing, dynamic company seeking a Production Planner to join our headquarters in City of Industry, CA.
Job Summary The Production Planner works with the Planning Supervisor in the production planning department, impacting manufacturing operations. The role assists in the preparation and evaluation of Production Schedules and processes work orders in accordance with the Production Plan.
Essential Functions
Create work orders and travelers in support of the Sales forecast, Production plan, and schedules.
Release work orders to the appropriate departments.
Transact completion and closure of work orders.
Review customer orders to understand special requirements and ensure custom materials are procured.
Assign customer orders and prepare supporting documents including configuration sheets.
Coordinate with various departments for a smooth workflow and alert senior personnel of anomalies that impact the Production plan/schedules.
Report Work in Progress status.
Ensure backorders are prioritized and followed up by communicating with the Expeditor and interdepartmentally as needed.
Review and compare Bills of Materials to work orders and communicate inaccuracies to the Planning Supervisor.
Transact material transfers.
Assist in weekly validation of open work orders.
Support physical inventory function.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Education And Experience
Associate's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
Experience with ERP systems; experience with SAGE is a plus.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Proactive and detail‑oriented.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
Non‑Exempt.
Full‑time, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (hours subject to change depending on the needs of the Business).
Location: City of Industry Headquarters and Ontario R&D facility.
