The Field Service Technician will join the service team in the Light Division, partnering with Sales Representatives on executing service plans in strategic district accounts and providing customers with problem solving support. The role includes installing, maintaining and calibrating chemical feed equipment and process monitoring equipment, and assisting with launching new applications in current customer accounts and transitioning competitively held accounts to Nalco Water. What You Will Do
Execute required chemistry tests, log and report data, and maintain product inventories at customer accounts. Provide routine and technical service support to customers; identify and resolve customer challenges, escalating as required. Assist Sales Representatives with start-ups of new applications in both existing customers and in new accounts. Establish effective working relationships with a variety of customers and partner with them on best practices. Install, calibrate, and maintain chemical feed equipment and process monitoring equipment at customer accounts. This mission critical role involves working on a variety of technologies including softening and reverse osmosis (RO). Territory/Location Information
Based in St. Louis, MO Territory covers a 300-mile radius of the surrounding area 65% days of overnight travel per month Shift: 1st shift Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or GED 1-3 years’ experience in industrial/mechanical environment Water treatment experience OR Technical Degree with 0-2 years experience Valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check 3-5 years’ experience in RO Softeners Physical Demands
Must be able to access and work in varied conditions, including confined spaces, damp/dusty locations, freezing and hot conditions Must be able to perform essential duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, using hands, balancing, walking, standing, speaking and hearing Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree or trade school certification Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience Working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Compensation and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $46,300 - $69,500. Benefits include comprehensive and market-competitive offerings.
