Are you an experienced Sales Professional in the process industry looking to grow your career? Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you. This remote field-based position is based in the Lafayette, LA territory, responsible for driving Flow sales in Lafayette and surrounding areas, extending south to the Gulf coast within a large installed base of accounts, and providing solutions primarily in the Oil & Gas industry, with some Chemical and specialty markets. You will partner with customers to make the world healthier, safer, and more sustainable.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Act as a strategic partner to current and prospective customers, gaining a deep understanding of their business needs and recommending solutions to maintain and grow sales
Use proven sales strategies and CRM tools to promote and sell the company’s products, image, and total value
Conduct regular territory analysis and strategic planning to identify and capitalize on opportunities
Pursue and secure major project business, demonstrating a strong ability to close deals
Effectively set priorities and manage time efficiently
Develop product-based solutions to address customers’ latent pain
Deliver sales solutions independently and collaboratively, working across teams to achieve success
Who You Are You relate comfortably with people across levels, functions, cultures, and geographies; you analyze multiple sources of information to define problems accurately before moving to solutions. You maintain a positive demeanor and forward-thinking approach. You negotiate strategically in tough situations to win concessions without damaging relationships.
For This Role, You Will Need
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, or combination relevant to our products and industry
Minimum 1 year of related technical sales experience
Valid Driver’s License
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Willingness and ability to travel within territory as required, with potential for occasional overnight stays
Availability for occasional travel outside the territory for factory training and meetings
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technical, or Business
Three or more years of related technical sales experience
