About the Role Precise Engineering is seeking an experienced
Quality Assurance Engineer IV
to support the Golden Pass LNG program in the Port Arthur/Sabine, TX area. This position leads the Project Quality Management System (QMS), aligns contractor quality plans to Golden Pass standards, coordinates shop & field inspections, and provides full QA/QC oversight from RFQ to final turnover.
Must have 8+ years QA/QC or Quality Engineering experience in Energy / LNG / Petrochemical major capital projects.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the Project Quality Assurance Lead on large capital LNG projects
Implement and manage the Golden Pass QMS across project phases
Review & approve RFQs, quality language in contracts, and quality execution plans
Set expectations and communicate requirements to EPCs, vendors, and field QA/QC personnel
Build shop inspection plans and coordinate vendor surveillance
Support inspection, verification, non‑conformance investigation, RCA, and corrective action
Supervise or manage contracted QA/QC direct reports as needed through project phases
Ensure all work meets Golden Pass standards, regulatory requirements & final turnover
Qualifications
8+ years QA/QC or Quality Engineering experience in Energy / LNG / Petrochemical
Major capital project experience strongly preferred
Strong construction quality, inspections, welding, and procedure knowledge
Experience implementing or governing a QMS on large projects
Excellent communication/alignment skills between Owner, EPC, and contractors
