Responsibilities
Support engineers with drawing layouts using computer‑aided drafting software.
Configure functional, reliable, and cost‑effective electrical systems that meet NFPA and FMVSS standards.
Create and maintain electrical system Bills of Material (BOM) and wiring documentation for manufacturing.
Collaborate with order management, manufacturing, and suppliers to design new custom options compatible with existing product structure.
Assist manufacturing throughout the build process, providing direction and electrical documentation.
Prepare engineering drawings, layouts, and schematics conforming to drafting standards.
Utilize ERP systems to create part numbers and manage engineering change notices (ECN).
Work independently with minimal direction, ensuring accuracy of own and others’ work.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in Electrical Design or equivalent with at least 2 years of drafting/design experience.
Standout Qualifications
Experience with E3 Electrical Schematic Software.
Experience with CATIA V5 / Smarteam application.
Experience with drafting system.
Lean manufacturing principles (5S, value streams, waste elimination).
3+ years of related experience or internship.
DC and AC circuit design, relay logic.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt to fast‑paced environment.
Detail oriented, proficient in Windows Office tools and CAD.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Working Conditions
Frequent sitting, visual tasks, typing, fine dexterity, manual dexterity, upper extremity repetitive motion; occasional hearing, talking.
