About Us X-Bow Systems is expanding and is looking to fill multiple new positions, Junior through Senior Mechanical Engineers.
About Us: X-Bow Systems is a cutting‑edge aerospace technology company focused on revolutionising propulsion systems for space exploration and defence applications. Our team of innovative engineers and scientists is committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in rocket propulsion. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and driven Mechanical Engineer to join our team.
About the Role As a Mechanical Engineer, you will have a key role in supporting our solid rocket motor development programs. You will join a multi-disciplinary team responsible for all aspects of design, analysis, test, and deployment of hardware.
You’ll know you’re successful in this role when you’ve identified blockers, guided processes to address anomalies and performance shortfalls, verified requirements are satisfied and you’ve delivered on the agreed upon master schedule while adhering to best practices. To thrive in this role, you must have demonstrated success in mechanical design, analysis, and test with an aptitude for hands‑on assembly and integration.
Required Skills & Qualifications
5+ years' industry experience with Solidworks CAD and PDM or equivalent
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams of ~5 engineers
Demonstrated experience with manufacturing processes and machining operations
Proficient at drafting and GD&T
Demonstrated mechanical hands‑on assembly and trouble‑shooting aptitude
Willing to work in a manufacturing environment or on the floor during prototype and dry run phases of a program
Basic computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Teams, etc.
Able to present slides at a design review with internal or external customers
Bachelors degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Must be a US Persons as defined by § 120.62 of the ITAR
Skills & Qualifications
Analysis skills from notebook level to computer simulation capturing stress and strain
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Ability to travel at least once a month
Design/Analysis/Manufacture and Test of assembly and transportation tooling and support structures
