Description The Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician is responsible for providing high-quality repair services on equipment to meet customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner, ensuring maximum value for work performed. WHAT YOU'LL DO Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision. Use hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools, instruments, and laptops. Understand basic manuals, schematics, parts books, and installation instructions. Maintain basic knowledge of engine and compressor systems. Troubleshoot systems for errors. Achieve mastery level knowledge of hand tools, air tools, measuring tools, laptops, diagnostic software, and rigging equipment. Complete assigned jobs to meet flat rate times and metrics. Work safely following all safety policies and procedures. Accurately complete related paperwork and access required databases (work orders, parts orders, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, BMTS). Follow contamination control and HAZMAT regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 years of related experience/training, or equivalent. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and write routine reports. Basic math skills including calculations of percentages, areas, and volumes. Ability to understand and follow instructions in various formats. Knowledge of database, internet software, and order processing systems. Clean driving record. Must be at least 21 years old to operate field vehicles. May need to complete DOT physical and MSHA certification. Flexible schedule. IMPORTANT INFORMATION The physical demands include standing, walking, handling, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, sitting, and smelling, with specific vision requirements. The work environment involves exposure to moving parts, chemicals, weather conditions, and noise. Travel up to 95% is required. This is a remote, safety-sensitive position.
