Our client, a leading organization in the facilities management industry, is seeking a HVAC Technician to join their team. As a HVAC Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting building operations and ensuring optimal performance of critical systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title HVAC Technician
Location Andover, MA
Salary $42- $44 per hour
Schedule Second shift Tuesday to Saturday from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm
What’s the Job?
Accept and log all complaints, status, and follow-up calls in the CMMS database.
Take immediate action on all alarms, repairing or correcting alarm conditions when possible, or initiating follow-up procedures.
Monitor and adjust refrigeration, heat exchangers, HVAC systems, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, VAV systems, electrical, emergency backup systems, and hot water systems to ensure proper operation.
Perform preventive maintenance on all base building and critical system equipment, including installation, repairs, and inspections.
Install and repair HVAC units such as package units, mini splits, actuators, VAVs, water heaters, motors, and heating units, along with associated piping, valves, and controls.
What’s Needed?
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must have a Massachusetts refrigeration license.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with HVAC and refrigeration mechanical systems.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written reports.
Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes.
