We’re seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to build and maintain world‑class quality systems, applying proven automotive methodologies like APQP to scale our solar manufacturing operations. What You’ll Do Quality System Development & Management
Support and evolve our quality management systems adapted from ISO 9001:2015 best practices for solar manufacturing
Develop and execute Quality Assurance documentation and APQP plans from concept through launch
Establish and maintain control plans, process flow charts, PFMEAs, and other core quality tools for solar products
Collaborate with Design and Development teams to ensure smooth transitions from validation to production
Process Quality & Control
Design and implement SPC systems to monitor critical parameters in solar cell and module production
Analyze process behavior and lead continuous improvement initiatives
Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D, 5‑Why, and other problem‑solving tools
Develop and validate inspection/testing protocols focusing on electrical, mechanical, and environmental performance
Product Launch & Validation
Lead quality activities in New Product Introduction (NPI), including prototype validation and production readiness
Review and approve Design Verification (DV) and Production Validation (PV) testing
Support cross‑functional teams to meet quality requirements throughout development gates
Develop reliability testing programs tailored to solar product needs (thermal cycling, humidity, UV exposure)
Drive continuous improvement through statistical analysis of key processes
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
Prepare for and support customer audits and certification assessments
Track and report quality metrics and KPIs to management
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, materials engineering or related field
Minimum 5 years in quality engineering, preferably with automotive manufacturing experience (or 10 years in quality environments)
Proven expertise with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC
Skilled in root cause analysis tools: 8D, 5‑Why, Fishbone
Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving manufacturing environment
What Will Give You the Edge
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification
Experience in renewable energy, electronics, or semiconductor manufacturing
Familiarity with photovoltaic technology and solar module construction
