HII Unmanned Systems is seeking an experienced professional to come join our mechanical engineering group! We are looking for an individual to contribute to the development of advanced capabilities for integration into our autonomous systems. Responsibilities Include
Support both new development and manufacturing efforts in mechanical design and implementations. Demonstrate proficiency in material selection for underwater applications with structural analysis, electronic packing, and CAD modeling (SolidWorks). Research, develop, plan designs mechanical and electromechanical products for underwater applications. Coordinate activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems. Contribute to the Configuration Management process Ensure seamless transition from engineering design to manufacturing. Build prototypes and tests fixtures for new design or to update existing designs and products. Communicate and support the efforts for each department with mechanical designs and implementations. 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field. Must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance Knowledge of Enterprise PDM (EPDM) in support of 3D modeling tools (Solidworks). Manufacturing experience with marine products.
