Position: Memory Care Assistant
Schedule:
Part-Time / Friday through Monday / 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Compensation:
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour Summary Under the supervision of the Director of Health Services or charge nurse, the Memory Care Assistant provides various services and resident care to support, protect, and nurture residents by assisting with activities of daily living and addressing other needs as required. Essential Functions Deliver quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers, and vendors to ensure satisfaction. Recognize and respond promptly to resident needs. Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, mobility, incontinence care, changing positions, and transfers. Handle resident laundry as needed, make beds daily, and perform routine housekeeping. Assist in meal preparation and service for residents. Facilitate programs to engage memory care residents, promoting autonomy and decision-making. Maintain a positive, homelike environment where residents feel safe and purposeful. Keep logs with all vital information accurately. Report resident conditions regularly to the Charge Nurse or Memory Care team. Maintain all documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations and company policies. Perform duties safely and efficiently, using equipment correctly and reporting hazards or accidents. Follow strict cleanliness standards and adhere to all health codes and policies in food handling and preparation. Job Requirements and Qualifications To succeed, candidates must be able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily. The following qualifications are required: Current experience and/or training as mandated by state regulations; experience in long-term care, geriatrics, or rehabilitative care is preferred.
