Paramedic, FROEDTERT HOSPITAL - ED
Location: US:WI:Milwaukee at our FROEDTERT HOSPITAL facility. This is a full‑time, on‑site, 24 hours per week position (0.6 FTE) with 3rd shift rotation (12‑hour shifts, 19:15–07:15, weekends).
Eligibility: Must be a licensed Paramedic in Wisconsin and meet all state BLS, ACLS, PALS, and PALs requirements.
Job Summary Provide high‑quality, holistic patient care in an emergency department environment. Assist in patient care by performing clinical and supportive functions for which you have documented competency. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and standards of practice in a highly collaborative team model to achieve optimal health outcomes and extraordinary patient satisfaction.
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year Paramedic experience (preferred).
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or equivalent required.
American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
Paramedic certification in good standing in Wisconsin required.
American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire; incumbents prior to 3/1/2024 must obtain PALs by 3/1/2025.
Special Skills Fluent in English, both written and oral. Commitment to the highest ideals of patient care. Strong teamwork, independent judgment, decision‑making, communication, and ability to work under stress in a collaborative environment. Accurate documentation, adherence to hospital policies, and effective recognition and treatment of life‑threatening conditions.
