Food Production Associate - 1st Shift E.A. Sween Company invites applicants for the Food Production Associate‑1st shift role. E.A. Sween, founded in 1955, is a family‑owned, professionally managed food production company committed to feeding millions daily with high‑quality products.

Responsibilities

Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to uphold food safety and product integrity.

Consistently follow safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Complete additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Lead and collaborate with team members from diverse backgrounds.

Maintain excellent attendance and show flexibility in work schedules as needed.

Execute food safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities to meet SQF 2000, regulatory, and customer standards.

Report any non‑compliance to the Pack‑off Lead or Support Supervisor.

Contribute to a clean, safe, and organized work area, completing mandatory quarterly safety training.

Rotate through all production positions every 30 minutes, following standard operating procedures for each role (Box Maker, Boxer, Racker, etc.).

Operate and maintain equipment and tools such as dollies, racks, bun trays, pallets, and labeling systems.

Ensure safe storage and transport of pallets, racks, and dollies in support of the company’s Zero Safety Incidents policy.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous assembly line experience in a high‑speed packaging environment.

Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.

Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional Saturdays.

Read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Basic math skills for accurate counting and verification of products.

Reliable attendance and a teamwork‑oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

Food‑related experience.

Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet customer demands.
