What You'll Do:
As a Journeyman Electrician, you'll install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in a variety of settings including commercial, industrial, and residential. You'll also help mentor apprentices and ensure every project meets our high standards and safety codes. Key responsibilities include:
Assemble, install and test electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers or other components
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, adjustments or repairs to ensure compliance with codes
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and amp meters to ensure compatibility and safety of the system
Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and codes
Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors
Maintain records and files, prepare reports and order supplies and equipment
Place conduit (or cabling system) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes
Construct and fabricate wiring assemblies, using hand tools and specifications
What You Bring:
MN Class A Journeyman Electrical License
(or reciprocal state equivalent)
Solid knowledge of the
2023 NEC code
Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams
Hands-on experience with tools like conduit benders, core drills, meters, and threaders
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Valid driver's license (Class A or B CDL with health card a plus)
Comfort with Microsoft Office and basic digital job tracking
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
