The “Scope” and “Duties” listed on this page are basic to both positions; the “Qualifications” detail and determine the expertise and experience required for each position. Each successive level includes all of the requirements for the prior level. Scope of Responsibilities

: Responsible for all maintenance and repairs of all LRW’s facility electrical systems, motors, pumps, generators, switchgear equipment, etc., as well as any electrical equipment and controls associated with new construction projects. Directs or assists LRW engine techs and mechanics as needed or required. Duties & Responsibilities: Maintains and repairs wiring and lighting systems. Maintains and repairs electrical control equipment, switchgear, pumps, and motors. Inspects, maintains, and repairs electrical lines. Prepares maintenance records, daily time sheets, and other reports as directed. Inspects, maintains, and repairs electrical systems. Follows established work procedures and practices. Follows safety practices and guidelines at all times, including wearing proper personal protective/safety equipment due to possible exposure to hazardous chemicals, flammable liquids, biological hazards, toxic/flammable compressed gases and confined spaces. Undertakes any reasonable request within capabilities that is for the good of the community and LRW. Q

ualifications: Each position has separate, progressive requirements. See Qualifications Chart for breakdown. This position has been evaluated as to whether a momentary lapse of attention may result in grave and immediate danger to the employee, coworkers, or the public. If the designation is yes, the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act (AMMA) of 2016 will govern working conditions. If no, the AMMA will not apply to the position. This position has been evaluated as to the mandated wearing of a company uniform during working hours.

Education

High school graduate or equivalent.

Experience & Training

MUST HAVE TO START AT THIS LEVEL

Completed minimum two (2) years as CP Electrician Tech or equivalent. Completed minimum of two (2) years as CP Journeyman.

Be available for emergency call outs.

Working Knowledge

Basic Practical Extensive

MUST HAVE TO START AT THIS LEVEL

General knowledge of electrical tools, devices and terms. Completed all requirements for CP Electrician Tech with on the job training. Completed all requirements for CP Journeyman Electrician Completed all requirements for CP Master Electrician

Read, write, and work simple arithmetic. Thorough knowledge of facilities (treatment plants and pump stations) and other plant equipment. Valid Journeyman (Master) electrician license. Valid Master Electrician license.

Valid Arkansas driver’s license. Valid Arkansas Class I wastewater operator license.

Basic verbal and written communications skills.

Some knowledge of national and local electrical codes

Some knowledge of computers using Windows-based software. Ability to WILL OBTAIN AND/OR PERFORM WHILE IN POSITION Pass LRW Electrical Exam I to be eligible for next level.* Pass LRW Electrical Exam II to be eligible for next level.* Pass LRW Electrical Exam III to be eligible for next level.* Program various boiler and generator components. Obtain Arkansas Class I wastewater operator license. Read electrical schematics. Plan and layout electrical work. Complete ARC Flash class. Complete controls class. Demonstrate general knowledge of electrical diagrams and plans. Utilize electrical meters and diagnostic tools. Inspect MEG, amp, troubleshoots all electrical motors, pumps, and controls.

Process work orders as directed. Make material lists and obtain quotes. Maintain and repair electric motors, equipment, controls, devices.

Work with electricians and assist in all aspects of electrical work. Maintain tools in good working order. Be the lead for safety practices

Perform manual labor as needed, such as lifting and carrying tools and equipment. Demonstrate knowledge of cogeneration system. Perform all electrical needs on a project from start to finish. Complete maintenance practices and procedures as instructed. Organize and prioritize own work. Complete VFD training. Access hard-to-reach areas of equipment and perform repairs with or without assistance. Climb and work from ladders, scaffolding, and other elevated areas. Follow directions. Work in weather and terrain extremes. Meet and maintain attendance requirements. Comply with all safety rules and regulations. Lift 100 pounds with or without assistance. *Electrical exams are structured by supervisor and reflect LRW's facilities and equipment.
