JOB TITLE: Shop Diesel Mechanic/Technician Overview

Whether you are looking to start your career as a Diesel Technician, or are an experienced industry veteran, Boss Shops has a position for you. Boss Shops is an industry leader in full range Diesel repair with a Tech Ranking system from Tech I to Tech IV. Responsibilities

Performs PMs and oil changes. Greases trucks and trailers. Performs tire services. Performs CSA/DOT inspections. Performs service calls and night call outs. Conducts intermediate to advanced electrical repair and diagnoses causes of failures. Performs intermediate wheel end repair (S-cam/bushing replacement, spindle repairs, race and bearing replacement, wheel seals, etc.). Performs intermediate air system repair (basic diagnostics, tank replacement, air bags, leveling valves, dash valves, etc.). Conducts basic HVAC repair (evacuate & recharge, verifies cause of failure). Completes basic coolant repairs (thermostat, water pump, hoses, fittings, radiator, etc.). Performs basic welding. Conducts basic starting/charging (batteries, alternators, starters, etc.) and diagnostics. Completes basic engine repair (belts, tensioners, pulleys). Performs basic steering/suspension (shocks, reservoirs, filters, alignment, etc.). Performs basic drivetrain and transmission repairs (clutch adjustments, U-joints, carrier bearings, etc.). Maintains cleanliness of shop and keeps free of clutter. Ensures all service equipment is in good working order, clean, and properly repaired when needed. Ensures all parts, tires, etc., are properly put away. Completes work orders with necessary customer information, labor performed, parts used, and any other information for warranty purposes. Ensures total customer satisfaction and the integrity of Bosselman. Follows all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for employees and customers. Completes OSHA Skills Demonstration within the first week of employment. Stays current on LMS training. Provides friendly and competent customer service. Reports for work in a timely manner when scheduled. Additional Job Duties

Tire Service Certification by TIA within 18 months of employment Air Brake Certification DOT Medical Card required Two years minimum experience as a diesel technician Minimum Qualifications

Valid driver’s license and be insurable to drive Complete brake training Complete wheel seal training Ability to attend HVAC, Electrical and DOT training Ability to obtain ASE, DOT, TIA and other certifications Able to work weekends, holidays, and as needed Reliable transportation and phone Ability to communicate in English (where applicable) Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members Must show proficiencies required by Tech I training program Physical Requirements
