Job Summary As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Mountain View Hospital you will join a collaborative team dedicated to serving patients and supporting each other. This position requires comprehensive understanding of technology, independent judgment, and complete knowledge of all federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities
Perform duties involving various technical procedures with radionuclides for diagnosis and treatment.
Provide assessment, treatment, or care for patients across all ages: adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
Assist physicians in the use of therapeutic radioisotopes and prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic purposes.
Check assay of radionuclides received and calibrate doses; verify equipment calibration daily.
Maintain accurate records of equipment calibration and repairs, radiation surveys of laboratory and personnel, and storage and disposal of radioactive material in compliance with hospital, state, and federal regulations.
Keep abreast of new procedures, equipment, and methods; participate in their evaluation and application.
Participate in in‑service training programs and instruct the demonstration of specific techniques and equipment.
Qualifications
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT).
MIT (ARRT‑R) radiography certification.
RT: Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer certification.
