Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist

Location:

Gastonia, NC

Schedule:

Part-time, we are open Mon-Fri

Compensation:

$38.00 - $45.00/hr (pending experience)

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a part-time Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist for our outpatient orthopedic center! Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we are willing to consider occupational therapists or physical therapists with one year of experience in hand therapy (required). We have a network of hand therapists and CHTs available for support and are excited to mentor occupational therapists aspiring to be a CHT.

Responsibilities

Collaboration:

Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.

High Standard of Care:

Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).

Personalized Treatment:

Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.

Relationship-Building:

Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)-accredited school of occupational therapy

One (1) year of experience as a hand therapist

CPR certification

Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic

Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred
