Construction Manager E&C - Contract 1 yr.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities and expectations across project phases include the following core areas:
Preconstruction:
Read and know the permits, road use agreements, crossing agreements, SWPPP, haul routes, drawings, material, schedule, QA/QC, submittals to engineering for review; set expectations; lead and train the team; conduct Site Safety Orientation and prepare Site Specific Safety Plan; complete Safety Assessments / CILs (Unifier); contribute to reporting and QA/QC (Unifier) and site photos.
Construction:
Build and maintain a strong working relationship with the contractor; stay engaged in the project; ensure quality by knowing specs and drawings; monitor the schedule (C1 and Contractor P-6); track progress and maintain accurate project tracking spreadsheets; monitor environmental constraints (SWPPP); stay involved in outage/crossing coordination; drive project success with zero injuries and a quality product.
Reporting:
Ensure 100% accurate reports for management up to the executive level; guide the team in gathering information for reporting; data may be used in change order disputes; maintain clear communication with PM; ensure reports/trackers are due on Fridays by 5:00 PM project time.
ISC / Expeditor:
Manage material delivery schedules, locate missing material, and coordinate with vendors to improve shipping dates.
Safety Team:
Leverage safety expertise to improve safety through conversations and CILs; involve contractors when safety rules are not followed.
Subject Matter Experts (SMEs):
Utilize SME knowledge across Civil, Structural, Construction, Electrical, and other disciplines to solve problems.
Land Agent:
Work with land agents for planning, dealing with difficult landowners, and information about land agreements.
Who You Are As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
5+ years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years as a construction manager.
Transmission line experience is imperative for this position.
