Job Summary The Production Planner is a supervisory level position that organizes and controls production for a specific manufacturing area of the plant, with primary focus on planning two days to two weeks out.

Responsibilities

Plans, implements and reviews the production schedule

Develops and achieves department goals that align with corporate goals

Champions Health, Safety and Environmental programs and compliance

Champions Statistical Process Control and continuous improvement to minimize out of spec production

Champions process improvements for both work processes and chemical manufacturing process equipment and operations

Works closely with Maintenance, Engineering, QA/QC lab to achieve corporate goals

Required Skills/Abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Strong leadership skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate

Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Education And Experience

High school diploma or equivalent

Associates Degree or higher in a science related field a plus

7+ years of manufacturing experience

Manufacturing supervisory experience a plus

Physical Requirements

Ability to climb ladder and stairs

Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times

Must pass respirator fit test

Work Schedule Day shift is typical. Position requires spending time on-call and responding to requests for support during off hours, weekends and holidays. This includes emergency response.
