This role provides geotechnical engineering and consulting services for various projects, including transmission lines across hundreds of miles, slope stability assessments, roadways/transportation, and vertical construction. You will mentor and coach less experienced engineers, plan and oversee field investigations, determine appropriate laboratory testing, perform engineering analysis and calculations, and provide geotechnical recommendations. This role also involves preparing proposals and cost estimates, tracking and evaluating project progress, and maintaining budgets. You will support our materials testing and inspection group to help resolve design and construction problems. Senior Geotechnical Engineers must communicate complex engineering issues to technical and non-technical clients and project teams. Responsibilities

Lead safety efforts for the team and ensure safety rules and guidelines are followed. Create and model a safe work environment and promote pre-task planning for all projects. Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Monitor quality standards and practices. Develop understanding of project-related risk and how to protect the Company. Be familiar with company risk policies. Provide technical direction for production and completion of routine and complex projects. Conceptualize the initial design and/or investigative approach for major project phases or oversee the engineering work on projects of moderate scope. Plan, schedule, conduct, and/or coordinate engineering work involving conventional practices, including complex features and conflicting design requirements. Review projects requiring complex and innovative investigation techniques; supervise analysis and formulate recommendations in written reports to clients; provide technical review of reports. Lead technical training and make informed decisions based on current technology issues. Provide leadership in marketing, sales, and business development. Supervise less experienced engineers or technical support personnel on projects. Serve as an Authorized Project Reviewer. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Minimum 8-11 years of experience. Master’s degree in Engineering preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) registration. Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
